so the band was able to perform @ a wedding a month ago and we had an absolute blast. we learned some new songs and even though it was a challenge to learn so many new songs in a short time, it was alot of fun - here's some pix

Well - we did it! We had our first gig @ Lakeview park last Monday and all seemed to go well! We all had a blast & I personally can't wait til our next one. Here are some pics -

Fall to Worship

Fall to Worship is a free, outreaching, God-centered, worship music event in Lakeview Park starting at 5pm, LABOR DAY, Monday, Sept 1st. Rick will be offering small evangelistic messages, there will be a dramatic performance from a youth team at Kuna Kife church in Nampa, Alfy the Clown will be on site entertaining children with face painting and pocket magic, while the bands “Beloved” and “Even If” offer up the music. The church is providing hot dogs and popsicles. This will be advertized on KTSY - "Even If" will be playing @ about 6:30 pm.

Our Name

In April of this year I was presented an opportunity to meet some new folks & potentially play in a band with them. After we met & then played a couple of times together things just came together so we proceeded to rehearse with the goal of playing a gig or two this year. Now since we had officially decided to call ourselves a band - we needed a name! Well, we tossed around a few names to see what might fit (Whiddle Sticks - too country; Crazy Asians - too weird; Oceans Floor - already taken) but none of them seemed like the right name for "us." One day I was reading about Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego & how they were asked to worship King Nebechenezer's gods but they refused. Well, King Boy decided he'd throw them in the fiery furnace & their response was, "Go for it! - OUR God will deliver us from the fire, but EVEN IF He doesn't, we will still worship Him!!" Needless to say, I loved their attitude & faith. I started to think - that's a rare mentality today & what if we could agree on maintaining that attitude in our lives. One night @ rehearsal, I told the guys about the story & tossed out the idea of us calling ourselves EVEN IF while displaying that attitude in our daily lives. We thought on it for awhile, scheduled our first gig & now we are officially EVEN IF. We are playing Sept 1st @ 5 pm @ Lakeview Park in Nampa (off Garrity).
